FAITH & DEMOCRACY 2024

The Justice & Witness Action Network has launched Faith & Democracy 2024 a unified, coordinated and strategic campaign to engage justice leaders, clergy and local churches across the Central Atlantic Conference in non-partisan civic engagement, including:

• Voter Registration

• Voter Education & Empowerment

• Get Out The Vote

• Election Protection

• Voting Rights Advancement & Promoting Democracy

This Campaign is organized around faith and democratic principles of valuing and affirming the voice and dignity of all, especially “the least of these” among us. And, the belief that every person has a right to participate fully, freely and fairly in the democratic process without fear, intimidation, limitations or false information.

This Campaign honors the voices of our Network members who overwhelmingly voted in 2022 for our first federal issues campaign on Voting Rights Advancement & Combating Voter Suppression. Federal Voting Rights legislation that restores critical provisions of the Voting Rights Act, ensures racial equity in elections and strengthens our democracy, can’t get an up or down vote in the U.S. Senate. And, we must not stand-by and watch on-going attacks on our voting rights and the ruthless subversion of our democracy.

The integrity and legitimacy of our governmental institutions are on the line, and they are necessary to ensure that we have a strong, functioning democracy. A 21st century democracy that represents our growing, diverse nation is imperative. A democracy that welcomes every person’s voice and participation, no matter who they are. This is our vision. This is what we deserve. This is what we demand. This is what we fight for.
